Act I Scene 1-4

Scene1
Mr.Frank returns to the place where he had once hidden in order to keep safe from the Nazis . As he looks around the place Miep also comes . Soon they begin to talk about the fact that Mr. Frank is leaving Amsterdam, Holland. He says that Amsterdam holds many memories that hurt him , and then he gets his stuff and begins to leave.Miep tries to give him papers and he says to burn them . She hands him a string bound notebook , its Anne's diary . As he flips through diary he relives what he went through , but through Anne's' perspective . That's the end of scene 1.
Scene 2
The Franks and the Van Daans have just began to move into their new home. A few of the members are waiting for Mr.Frank , the Van Daan , and Mr.Kraler. Soon they arrive and the families begin to introduce themselves to one another.Miep and Mr.Kraler give the two families enough supplies to last them fro a couple of weeks.Then Mr.Kraler mentions that he will get the two families rations . Mrs. Frank begins to object that is was dangerous to have ration books and it was illegal. Mr.Kraler soothes her by saying that their names would not be on the rations books and if it was illegal it was for a good cause.Miep and Mr.Kraler leave the hiding place and everyone gets accommodated in their rooms . Then Mr.Frank tells them about the rules of the hiding place. After that Anne and Peter talk about their schools and such . The scene ends with Anne voice talking.

Scene3
After a day of complete silence Anne releases a burst of pent-up energy . As everyone begins to put on their shoes, Anne hides Peter Van Daans shoes. After a moment of arguing and rough housing Peter regains his shoes from Anne .He retreats to his room to feed his pet cat Mouschi . Mrs.Van Daan tells Anne to get Peter out of his room and goes to feed Mouschi herself . Mrs. Van Daan teases Peter about Anne being his "girlfriend". Then Anne pops out of Peter's room dressed in his clothes making a joke . That's when Peter teases her by her nickname ; Mrs. Quack Quack. Anne gets into an argument with Mr.Van Daan.Then Anne wets Mrs. Van Daan's fur coat and both Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan leave . Mrs.Frank had been listening to the whole scene and begun to tell Anne not to act in such a bad way. Anne talks back to her mom anad the scene ends after their discussion.


Scene 4 In the middle of the Anne begins to scream because she is having a nightmare . Mr.Dussel , her new roommate , tries to wake her up with no success. Mrs.Frank quickly comes into the room and awakens Anne .Mr.Dussel leaves the room to sleep in the bathroom because Anne didn't give him enough sleep . As Mrs.Frank tries to reconcile Anne , Ann asks for her father instead . Mrs. Frank tries to kiss Anne ,but Anne quickly dodges her kiss. When Mrs.Frank leaves she attempts to hide her hurt with no success , while Margot calms her mother Mr.Frank goes to Anne . Anne is delighted to be with her father. Mr.Frank gives Anne a pill, and he talks to her about the way she treats and has treated her mother . Anne revealed what she thinks to her father . Then she doses off to sleep , and Mr.Frank leaves while Annes' voice talks once again.
